Learn About What We Do

What We Do

Warrior Service is a 501c3, non-profit organization formed in 2014 to assist military veterans in reconnecting with their lives through purpose and meaning. These coordinated activities provide the opportunity for veterans, immediate family members, and caregivers to experience the outdoors through camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and many other activities. Our events allow people a chance to break from their daily struggles and build relationships with others who may have similar stories.

Participants have the time to work on themselves and discover new solutions to their challenges while enjoying the outdoors. For many, it provides an opportunity to see parts of the country they may otherwise never experience and in the process of the trip, the camaraderie, and the common objective of the activity, perhaps to find peace within themselves. These trips also provide the opportunity for Warrior Service to share information about benefits and assistance which many veterans are not aware of or for which they didn’t know they were qualified.

Meet Our Team

Executive Director, Founder

David Libby

Warrior Service was founded by Captain David Libby of the US Army in 2014. David retired from the military after 23 years of service.

Warrior Service was founded by Captain David Libby after his retirement from 23 years of service in the US Army. Through hunting, fishing, camping, boating, and other outdoor activities, David reconnected with nature and rediscovered himself during his transition to civilian life.

Recognizing the transformative power of these experiences, David assembled a team of volunteers to share similar opportunities with fellow veterans, their families, and caregivers. What began as personal healing became an organization dedicated to helping others reconnect with their lives through outdoor programs.

"Nothing touches me more than watching someone participate in one of our programs and experience a life-changing moment," David reflects.

Through Warrior Service programs, participants find camaraderie, access the services they've earned, and break free from daily routines to get active again—for some, the first time in years. The organization focuses on holistic healing through outdoor experiences that address the unique challenges veterans face during their transition to civilian life.
David invites you to support Warrior Service's mission by donating to help sustain these vital programs for the veterans and families they serve.
